Posted - 19 Apr 2010 : 9:30:13 PM Not to be outdone, here are a few pictures of the youngsters yesterday. They survived their first night out last night but want Ray Mears to camp out with them!
Believe it or not, the bay (Scandalous) is 13 months older than Chips who already stands at 14.0hh at 10 1/2 months!
This is my favourite headshot:
Chips is booked in for gelding on Wednesday (gulp) .

Posted - 21 Apr 2010 : 6:28:11 PM I don't have the facilities or the inclination to keep a colt and it was always my intention to geld Chips. Karen (his breeder) also knew; in fact, if circumstances had been favourable he'd have been gelded before weaning.
Chips was never colty but he definitely wanted to "marry" me. Mind you, he won't talk to me at the moment, as I let the Vet do unspeakable things to him this morning

Posted - 19 Apr 2010 : 9:38:25 PM They had been out from approx 08.00 until 19.00 every day on the paddock that Red and Roger are now on; but they'd never been in this paddock before and it hasn't been grazed since early autumn. I was anxious to get them turned out 24/7 so that I could get Chips gelded. He's not colty but I want him to be well and truly over his operation before HoCoN which is 5th June (and I also have to work around my shifts).
