We have 2 every year in Denmark, and its great days, where you can see beautiful boys, meet other breeders, and mare owners gets a chance to see several stallions without having to travel to 20+ different studs.
One is held at Husted Arabians, they have a very long tradition for housing this day, and after all the boys have been shown, spectators (free entry) are welcome to have a noose round the stud, there's also coffee, tea and cake (every stallion pays an entry fee of about £30, this goes to cover the coffee tea and cake).
The other one is held at an equestrian centre, here spectators pay a couple of £ to enter, stallions pays entry fee too (all this goes to cover the cost of renting to facilities)... the cafeteria is open all day for drinks and snacks.... again a very nice day. |
