I don't know why you don't stick with a great name like 'Borris'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was a bit gutted that my new arab would not have a great beautiful name, and thought about changing it. but now we are used to it - he is just boz. But Borris is his full registered name! |

Love it when it really means something! I recall seeing a lovely young colt at Lodge Farm, at the same time I bought Madaba, that was called Ibn El Namrood (or might have been Namrud?) - meaning "son of the loud one". He was, I believe, their last Mascat son and Mascat was known for clearing a pathway like the parting of the seas with his call at shows! |

In Farsi (Persian/Iranian) Khargoosh is I believe Donkey ears and Khar Goush is long or big ears.
I have an Iranian friend who has told me that almost all my Arabs names are Farsi words. |

My cats called 'Dobby' for that reason, but if it was a horse people might think it was short for 'Dobbin' which is even more offensive somehow |

Not a human baby! Thanks for your suggestions, made me chuckle. Anyone know what donkey is in Arabic! This naming thing is a real problem. How do you do it? Sire & dam's names don't inspire so where do you go from there? |

Human baby? If it was up to me it'd just be called "Big Ears" and that's the name that would go on the birth certificate.

See if you can go to one of the online translators... You may get it in heiroglyphics though. Or go to Google and put in Arabic English translation Big Ears and see what comes up. |
