Posted - 26 Feb 2010 : 6:44:43 PM I have put an advert on the for sales page with just a head shot of my filly as I didnt have any recent body shots , but I read on here that people wont look at a horse unless they see body / action shots, so with that in mind I went out this evening armed with my camera, took her rug off and waved my arms about wildy to get some, I only managed two decent ones as she saw no reason to run about! she is still wooly scruffy and muddy but if you look you may see her quality shine through |

Posted - 30 Apr 2010 : 08:16:18 AM Hi Stevie , yes it IS in Malika to be a good mummy and to teach her babies to be good mummies also, her daughter Cherub (owned by rosebank) is just about the sweetest girl I know, totally trusting and would sleep in your tent if you were a bedu so te combination of crimbos loving nature and hers for her babies have produced for me the best of temeraments. lucky people that own them now |

Posted - 29 Apr 2010 : 9:52:20 PM Hi Lynda..hi SueB Its a family thing !!!!!Ross EstaMalika herself became mummy at 2 years to her grandmother"s 2month old filly foal,as Sarrita had to be PTS,Malika was fantastic, gentile and very loving. Ross-Moniet at 4,foaled 7 week's early {my vet said "dont expect it to live"} was a wonderful mother ,the filly couldn't stand,so we would hold her every hour next to Moniet, milk her and feed the filly Moniet would run milk every time!!!!!!!. she did live thank's to Moniet.A fabulous female line.I know I breed 3 generations,Now you guys do the rest!!!! Lynda, that filly is a credit to you and the family.Rosseeta would be so proud of her daugther Stevie xxx |

Posted - 29 Apr 2010 : 9:09:46 PM Cant believe how much Ingrids grown she is looking great! Hooray for Wiz what a lovely mare and i can also vouch for Crimbo's offsprings temperament i have a gelding (only just cut) who has the best of temperaments and so gentle and easy to do. If i had the money i would be snatching Ankis from Lynda without a second thought! Especially after seeing those cute pictures of her she certainly looks like she has character. Wiz is gorgeous and how kind of her owner to lend you her to help |

Posted - 29 Apr 2010 : 6:22:30 PM I'm sorry to bring this thread up again but so wanted to add my little 'breakthrough' moment with my orphan foal. (those with orphans will understand) With much trepidation we tried to introduce her to other horses, no such luck, she was definitely human not a horse. Then a lovely lady Sarah let me have this most wonderfully kind and gentle mare called Wasama Bint Malika, too much to say so she is nicknamed Wiz. Wiz gently licked and stayed at the foals side as she clung so closely to the gate frightened of this huge great bay thing standing by. Then after two days of persistence by Wiz, little Ingrid decided it was OK to be a horse.
Firstly to say that the filly 'Ankis' is full sister to Wiz, both bred by Lynda and I for one would say the temperament is second to none and if I wanted to start out again this would be at the top of my 'must have' list. Secondly I have to thank Sarah from the bottom of my heart letting me have such a paragon. We absolutely adore her and she and Ingrid make a good couple.

Posted - 04 Mar 2010 : 12:56:44 PM She is absolutely gorgeous...think she would fit in my 4x4 'Animal' (someone we both know would have an absolute and utter fit if another one appeared in the barn, so perhaps (boo hoo) not)??? Just love the 'tongue' pix with those huge tippy ears, priceless. |
