Posted - 12 Feb 2010 : 09:06:19 AM Hi,
I remember a couple of incidents, one my son told me when his girfriend had one for her horse. Amongst other things they established that she had some allergies that they would never have known about otherwise and another when a young girl had a "problem horse" and had tried everything to help her. They were able to find things from her past that contributed to her behaviour and most importantly altho the saddler said it was ok, she told them her saddle pinched!!
It was something I was going to do but when I mentioned to yard mates having someone who could tell me what Freddie was thinking they all took the Michael so much that I was too embarrassed to do it. Eventually I grew a spine and always meant to get hold of the young girl's commmunicator but unfortunately Freddie died before I was able to do it.
If you are having serious thoughts, then do it! Dont put off till tomorrow.....................

Posted - 12 Feb 2010 : 01:05:46 AM I too have had experience with this. One of my horses got away and hurt himself by stumbling on the lose stones and then sliding into what happened to be a horse talkers car.
She sent him some reiki and spoke to him. What she said gob smacked me. She told of things that only I knew about. This lady also said in one of her conversations that the horse new he was loved very much but I had to slow down and not rush around or he would be worried what could happen to me.
I found this amazing. I think these people (if genuine) could do a lot for problem or injured animals.

Posted - 11 Feb 2010 : 10:39:38 PM Another thumbs up for Isobel Hogton in Scotland. She told me in great detail about where one of my horses had come from and his lifestyle prior to me buying him. She was spot on with 99% of what she said about him and his problems.
Like most I was a sceptic before Isobel came to see me, but given that I had told her nothing in advance......I never said it was a gelding she was coming to see, or indeed his name and I was careful to hide any evidence of what I did (i.e show jumps removed out of sight in the arena!!) and she only saw the horse in his stable, I was amazed at the detail she came out with. She charge me £70, but in fairness she spent about 2 hours with Hal and I will get her back in again in the future. |

Posted - 11 Feb 2010 : 10:35:33 PM Stephanie, would you please pass on the details of this lady you have had to see your horse. I understand if you would rather PM them to me, I also have a horse with great problems. Thanks. |

Posted - 11 Feb 2010 : 8:44:47 PM Thanks for all of your help. I was just wondering about other peoples experiences as I have had a healer/whisperer coming to see one of mine who has big issues and I am amazed by the change, I don't want to give details until we've achieved all our goals with him but my opinion of this is completely different, I was very sceptical but when she was at the yard to see another horse I asked her if she could help with this difficult horse and she said yes and here we are. She is confident that she can encourage him to trust people again and become an easy horse once more, I've got faith in her and him so we'll have to wait and see? |

Posted - 11 Feb 2010 : 12:54:34 PM interesting topic...How wonderful it would be to be able to know what they were thinking.
My mare does not really like children but likes my son very much and I always wondered why. A coupld of years ago I was talking to a friend of mine about her and told him how she does not like children at which point my son piped up and said that she does not like children because they threw things at her when she was a baby with her Mummy. I asked how he knew this to which he replied 'Estara told me!' as if it was the most normal thing in the world. Not sure whether true or not but my son is on the austistic spectrum and does not lie as lying does not make sense to him. Sadly I can't talk to Estara to verify whether this actually happened! |

Posted - 11 Feb 2010 : 12:23:07 PM I use one regularly, also as a healer, had a foal once with a broken leg, vet said to put her down, i phoned her up and gave her the name of the foal no other details and she told me she had a double fracture to her offside splint bone, had been kicked by a visitin mare, in a lot of pain but would heal within two months. Now a lump of a 3 year old living out the rest of her days with a friend of mine. Last year had a TB mare to one of the stallions, was running out with her for 6 weeks wouldn go near her, phoned her up and she "spoke" to my boy over the phone he told her he didnt like the mare, turned her out with other stallion and he covered her the following day!!! Use her for myself too if i got problems!! |

Posted - 11 Feb 2010 : 11:47:11 AM One of my neighbours got a horse communicator in. Normally I wouldn't put much store on such things but she was 'told' by the horse that it had suffered terribly by being in an accident in the field where the mare had fallen on its back into a ditch and got wedged and had to be pulled out by a rescue team with a tractor.
And it had happened... It quite impressed me as we were all assured she hadn't known of the horse, or been told this, before and it was so specific!
We're north Oxfordshire though so it would be expensive for her to travel down to Devon or somewhere.
Fascinating subject! |

Posted - 11 Feb 2010 : 10:03:02 AM Hi Zebo,
I haven't used a horse communicator myself but have 2 experiences of them. One lady on our yard was having trouble with her Irish mare and rang a communicator up who asked a couple of questions (I wasn't there to know exactly what was said), she then rang her back a week later after she had connected with the horse. She never visited the yard. She told the owner that the horse was sore over her loins and the saddle didn't fit properly. The owner got a new saddle and a physio and the problem was solved. I am a real sceptic and I don't know what I believe as saddle problems are very common. This cost £50.
The second experience was through a friend on the yard who got an animal communicator out to see her Warmblood mare. This woman communicates by putting her hands on the horse to feel where the problems are. She said the horse was sore through her left hip, had tummy pains/urinary problems, didn't like the black/dark horse that lived near her, the horse thought she was being sent away because the owner is always jokingly saying she will send her for sausages if she doesn't get her act together. This cost £40 I think. The mare does wee alot and is very sensitive and hormonal and was very difficult as a youngster, and is also a hypochondriac! whilst the communicator was at the yard she passed a couple of other horses on her way back to the car. She stopped to talk to a very moody show pony gelding who she said had sore front feet and was unhappy - we then mentioned this to the owner and he was due for the farrier the next day! Coincidence? I don't know! She also spoke to my Sec A pony gelding whom she said "she loves it in this stable, she is very happy!" I replied, 'she' is a he, it is a gelding! She replied that the pony was giving off very feminine vibes which we all laughed at as he is the biggest mummy's boy going!!! Not sure what I believe, but I am always considering whether to get one of these people to one of my mares that has serious separation anxiety and other issues that complicate our whole life!
I know there are alot of professionals that use these people, I do think that alot of issues can be resolved by a very good natural horsemanship trainer, which i have had amazing results with one particular person, but when it comes to severe psychological problems that stems further, I haven't found a cure!
PAULINE - I would really appreciate the information on the person you got please. Thank you.
Hope that helps. xxx |

Posted - 11 Feb 2010 : 09:54:29 AM Friends of mine have used a lady called Isobel Houghton with incredible results. She was able to communicate with the horses and knew things that she could not have known about the horses, both with current owners and previous. It was an extremely moving and emotional experience for all involved.
Some years ago a lady called Shirley Anne Varney came over to see Becky. She told me some things that were really spooky and not wild guesses! The way she held her and touched her was amazing, she had her sleeping in her hands in the middle of the field!
My friend Elaine (one of Buffy's 'aunties') got a Sharmanic healing (sp) for Buffy when she was really bad and we were all trying everything to help her. Elaine has worked with this lady before and I was so grateful to her for doing this for the Buffster. It was the most moving piece of writing I have ever read and it totally blew me away. (She gave me a copy of the healing session which she gave to Buffy). If you want, I could maybe get her details for you.
Last, (but by no means least!) the lovely Andrea Hibbert who has been treating Buffy to equine shiatsu massages was over this week treating Becky. Wow, she can communicate to the horses and they understand and trust her completely! From what I've heard, all of us (owners) were in tears of happiness at the way she worked with our beloved horses.
I believe we should all keep an open mind about things, just because we don't understand how things can be, doesn't mean that they can't be....

Posted - 11 Feb 2010 : 08:47:05 AM I have had a number of occasions to use an animal communicator with good results.
I have an Arab mare that was very badly treated before I bought her and I asked Brigid Reilly ( can Pm you her website if you want)to communicate with her to find out a few things. Brigid did so and also gave her some healing.
Also in 2008 the mare lost her foal and was very depressed, again I asked Brigid to talk to her.
Never did I ever tell Brigid anything about the mare.what she told me fitted in with what other had told me.
I am thinking about getting her to talk to my little New Forest mare that has been very ill this week.
Before I used Brigid I did not believe these people, but now I would use them if I was at a lost end about what was wrong.

Posted - 10 Feb 2010 : 10:28:01 PM Yes... Many years ago a lady called Julie Dicker came to see some of my horses.
Very interesting, and I also watched and listened whilst she communicated with other horses.
She wrote a book called "What Horses Say".
Unfortunately she is no longer of this world, but what an interesting vocation she had, truly mesmerising.
