Posted - 13 Jan 2010 : 8:21:15 PM Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction, I am doing at local level ridden classes this year with my mare and want a nice bridle but don't know what to look at, she only needs snaffle bit. Do I get one with some bling or just plain. Any suggestions welcome. |

Posted - 14 Jan 2010 : 09:25:20 AM Ridden Arabs are either shown in very fine bridles (like a Jeffries show snaffle or Sabre snaffle bridle) or hunter bridles (wide flat nosebands). In truth any well-made English leather bridle would be absolutely fine.
I would steer clear of dressage type bridles - different colour padding under the noseband, crank nosebands and Show Jumping type bridles with clips instead of hooks nad billets.
Bling is a bit of a no no (i.e. diamante browbands, patent), but you can use a Ribbon Browband if you like |
