Posted - 07 Jan 2010 : 4:10:44 PM Khann is barefoot, and I plaster his feet in "effol" this puts a good coating on and means no balling in the feet. When the snow is nice and powdery they seem to have good grip. I know of people in Finland who have to ride and train their endurance horses in the snow, barefoot and shod with pads in with road type studs in the shoes.
It was just so good to get back on after all the ice we would not dare ride out, but powder snow is just fab to ride on. |
