Posted - 04 Jan 2010 : 7:31:24 PM So who is expecting foals this year? Who are the parents? If not are you sending your mare to stud for 2011 and to whom?
My mare Silver Shadow (Red Shadow x Sula Minisca) is going to AFrican Emir (African Gold x Meshel) for a 2011 100% OldEnglish pure strain in both female lines to Queen fo Sheba. A foal I am reliably informed will be the first born of pure Queen fo Sheba strain for a very long time.
I'm so excited and praying for a bay filly but as long as its happy and healthy I don't care what colour or sex it is. Something for me to look forward to at the moment.

Posted - 05 Jan 2010 : 7:17:01 PM My first foal is supposed to be due about 28 March but I suspect like the rest of the straight egyptians I have foaled down she will be at least two weeks early. The mare is Pandoraa (GR Amaretto (European Champion) out of A Little Precious) the foal is by Ali Barba (Ruminaja Ali x Alidaarlin). She is very grumpy already, which is true to her princess like personality, so heaven knows how she will feel in a few weeks time! The foal one of the few Ali Barba babies in Europe - though I confess its the colour thats going to the most exciting for me not whether its a colt or a filly. As I have a bay, a liver chestnut and a black, therefore a grey would be just wonderful. For me its this special dam line too through Bint El Sanaa, thanks to Delyth and her vision, that makes Pandoraa very unique and precious.
My next foal is a late one, probably mid June, by my stallion Flaxman's Tareef (Royal Jalliel x Ansata Julnara) another SE baby out of Hikuptah Ghazalah (her dam also a European Champion) and very much anticipated. Both parents extraordinary movers and correct but so sweet and loveable but unique too with spectacular bloodlines, a match made in heaven, for me!!! Ghazalah has produced the most fantastic foals for me to Al Aaqib Al Zamet and Ali Barba, Tareef's foal is very much the icing on the cake as he is a super stallion that produces consistently correct, losing none of his type, great conformation, and passing on loads of his amazingly lovely friendly, cuddly personality.
How we wish our time away waiting for the new babies and planning the next generation.

Posted - 05 Jan 2010 : 1:11:44 PM Lady Arabella is due in March to Fairlyn Gemini. X fingers for a colt.
We also have Dougs mare with us and she is expecting her first foal by Romarnic Ranger. That should be a smart foal as she is very well bred dressage mare.
Not sure who we are foaling down this year yet. Just one booked in so far. Maiden mare in foal to Ranger. Nice small hunter stamp and again well bred so should nice.
Keep fingers crossed for everyone having a safe and smart arrival.

I have 1 foal due this year, although being foaled down with Carol & not me! Another pure strain in female line to Dajania & also male line to Mahruss, a 100% Crabbet, by Winged Saint (El Santo x Silver Blue Wings) out of Dominita (Silver Blue Ludo x Domino Rose). Don't mind what she gives me as long as the foal is healthy & mum doesn't have any problems!
Looking for a nice PBA Cremello to put on my partbred mare, have got Moonhaze Silver Spiral in my sights if I can afford the stud fee (by A.I.!) |
