Happy new year to all!
I am getting concerned about our old english arabs, where are they, does no- one care that they seem to be disappearing?
One line in particular, the great mare Nuhra, there are so very few left remaining, that trace to her in the tail female line, with an old english/crabbet pedigree..
So do you have a crabbet/ old english arab, please share them with us, treasure them, i fear there won't be many left at all soon. |

Kirstie - I believe he is 100% Crabbet - if you look through his pedigree his Dad is also his great grandad through Kim's side :) |

hello everyone, i'm a newbie and complete slave to my beautiful 10 yr old chestnut arab mare, nerissa, and a stroppy 8 month old miniature shetland filly, also chestnut, named sweet pea but who i should have named little madam! i also look after a 19 yr old welshie - chestnut! - and a 14 yr old - chestnut(!) and white - shetland, both geldings. i lurve chestnuts!!! i will try to get some pics of my lot on here over the next few days but i'm not very good with this computer thing.
i'm wondering if my girl is in the old english category, as when looking through some of your pedigrees on here there are a lot of the same names in nerissas' papers. sorry, i don't know how to post the allbreeds link on here but she is on there, as nerissa, born 2001. she has crabbet heritage papers which certify her as 95.8% crabbet breeding. does this mean anything? she was bred by a mrs dorothy mathias; does anyone on here know this lady or nerissa?
nerissa has had one foal, a colt, with her previous owner but i'm 'only' a happy hacker so am very unlikely to breed from her and i think as i don't have a clue about breeding it's probably best that way! bye for now and i'll try to get some pics on of the gang nic x |

I have Zarello, and her 1/4 russian Son Count Azlan.
I thought that Zarello was quite tightly bred, having so many lines back to CountDorsaz, so I went to a stallion with a similar bloodline on one side and a dash of an outcross. It has not lost any bone and ability, but given me a better length of neck than my mare has. |

I don't have a photo of her on this computer they are on my desktop but I do have photos of her son & Daughter so am putting them up. She is a Kehileh Ajuz of Dajania tail female is Dajania DB 96.8328% Crabbet Oh & by the way Hafida is not in foal she is just a very fat baggage.

These picts of an Australian Arabian stallion of approx 98% crabbet breeding. The first pict was taken by me using an old mobile telephone in very bright sunlight.
Seeing this horse sent tingles up my spine. To cut a long story short, this horse impressed me so much I Imported a mare Rusleema 73% crabbet from Gadebrook stud in the UK especially for him.
Maybe someone in Australia could approach his owner with a view to purchasing him ( after a fertility test).He's not for sale as far as I know. As things are now his lines will die with him, as he has NO purebred progeny, although his owner has many purebred mares.
This horse has true arabian type, and his name is Fawley Silver Salute for those who are interested in pedigrees.

Charisma could be Rose of Sharon.I like Princess Nazarene too so typey and like a lot of Mrs Hedleys' stock fine featured. |
