Posted - 03 Jan 2010 : 1:13:39 PM With all the bad news and bad weather we've had lately I thought this little ray of sunshine may cheer you all up a little.

Posted - 04 Jan 2010 : 8:09:52 PM Indeed, I did spot familiar faces... a shady bunch if ever there was one! Very fed up of snow now, lugging water, freezing myself to the water tank via my wet glove - not as funny as it sounds. Horses all content, if a bit bored with no green stuff to nibble at. 24 sunbathing rugs this morning when we went to the winter yard. Hope the car bounced - I should kidnap them there strapping chaps for future use L x |

Posted - 04 Jan 2010 : 4:51:36 PM But Sue, do you recognise the daft endurance riders in the shot! Only just getting the hang of this putting photo's on here so they're maybe a bit small. Glad Laura's enjoying the snow because i'm not and to top it this afternoon I got stuck coming up a big hill towards home (and I mean big & steep) car slid sideways and I had to abandon blocking the road. Fortunately along came 3 burly chaps and helped me out of the sticky situation. |

Posted - 04 Jan 2010 : 4:24:24 PM You said it Sue.... 'daft'! Laura has been running and sliding across the frozen 'lake' in one of our fields today - think 8yr old boy slides. Horses thought she was mad |

Posted - 04 Jan 2010 : 12:41:01 PM Wow, Rhoni, wow!!!
What awesome photos - that last one is just amazing...
I can confirm that this boy is even better in the flesh! In fact he is the kind of guy that you would happily spend all day just looking at! We only met him briefly, when we visited Buffy and Rhoni, but he is definately a goose-bump inducing stallion! His daughter looks special too!
Loving all the pics!!!

Posted - 04 Jan 2010 : 10:45:12 AM Oh don't think we have escaped the snow. Up on top of a mountain we have had snow now since before xmas and at least a week of severe frost before that and just to prove it i've just nipped outside now and taken this:
And this was at Lake Vyrnwy on New Years day when a group of us daft endurance riders decided to go for a walk!! It was incredible. We planned to cycle around the lake initially but the road was covered in thick ice. We later warmed up with lunch at the Hotel overlooking the lake, should have taken pics of that too. Maybe next year!
And how's this for atmospheric!
Lovely pics everyone. Rhoni your boy is lovely. |
