Posted - 31 Dec 2009 : 12:30:46 PM I have tried 22 saddles on baz and none have been wide enough, and they were all off cobs/Arabs and a shire cross!!
Spoke to Thorowgood, they told me the T6 Cob would be good for him, but would i be able to do a few ridden classes in it, talking local shows and maybe a pre novice Arab towards end of 2010, They said they look so much like leather you would have to smell it to find it was not leather!! Should i go for a Dressage or GP shape? |

Posted - 31 Dec 2009 : 10:07:09 PM Native pony saddles do wide. If you send a pic of your horse they will try to help with size. Wide is not always the same. I have wintec extra wide gullet for my horses, but it depends not only on width, but on wither placement. Hope this helps Lynda |

Posted - 31 Dec 2009 : 12:59:30 PM I had the same problem getting a saddle for Rosie. I ended up with a Thorowgood cob T4. I got the general purpose one. Even though Rosie looks quite slender (the horse in my avator pic) we needed an extra wide saddle! I showed in mine, plus I plan to do some 'C' shows in it next year. |
