Posted - 30 Dec 2009 : 8:42:34 PM Reference eating horses - I have personally seen far more horse meat for sale in the Netherlands than I have in France - it is quite obvious as it is a much brighter red than beef or lamb.
Sincerely hope that these 3 have been pinched with a view to cute Xmas presents rather than for the meat trade and that they are recovered and returned asap. |

Posted - 30 Dec 2009 : 3:26:53 PM Hi Gerri, We have a local man who is always buying up the small ponies for the meat trade, he also sells horse meat for dogs and folks go there to pick it up. So untill these three are found and back home safe and sound...anything is possible. I agree France is a long run..
Does anyone know if it was Beeston yesterday and are Turners working this week...
Thank You Sue |

Posted - 30 Dec 2009 : 2:55:18 PM They say they eat horse in France but to be perfectly honest I have not seen any horse meat yet, maybe its because I don't want to see it, but honestly I dont think its as normal as we all think and the shetland and minis go for horrendous money here at least 800 euros a peice, thats why I havent bought one yet!!!!! I really hope the little ones are found safe and sound x |
