Posted - 22 Dec 2009 : 11:07:25 AM In between mucking out I took some photos on Sunday of my two playing in the snow. I noticed a recurring theme with Marim though, he likes to leave the ground!
Nimah prefers a more relaxed way of life and was enjoying the winter sun
You will have to excuse our stable stains and grubby tails, we are not show horses and only see shampoo between Easter and Bonfire night
They were playing because Marim witnessed a patch of snow grow legs and move across the field. There is a picture of this fearsome snow beast below
And last my mucking out friend who keeps me company every morning

Posted - 22 Dec 2009 : 2:57:15 PM Gorgeous pics We have a Robin that guards the muck trailer! We also have a fox that likes to sit on the roof of the stables - seriously! Haven't a clue how he gets up there!
I LOVE sheep - we used to have 3! They are soo much fun and a lot easier to train than a Cocker Spaniel! |

Posted - 22 Dec 2009 : 2:32:43 PM Thanks everyone That's so true Goldenmane, it took me much longer to finish mucking out because I was whoaing and steadying at the gate while they totally ignored me. I was terrified of Marim slipping but I shouldn't have worried he was having the time of his life
The snow beast isn't mine, I wish she was, I've always wanted some pet sheep or goats and a pet cow. |

Posted - 22 Dec 2009 : 1:17:22 PM Lovely, lovely photos, makes all the mucking out and work worthwhile, although everything takes so much longer when you have to stop to look!! I don't have a snow beast, but also have my pet robin family!

Posted - 22 Dec 2009 : 11:15:14 AM Fabulous photos! I love them...
Mine live out 24/7 so they have that stained-with-mud look still, though it's an absolute picture today with the snow frozen onto the branches of the trees!
You're a good photographer!! |
