Posted - 19 Dec 2009 : 7:45:40 PM I was only thinking about Ben the other day, as he is my Merlyn's sire and I couldn't believe it when I saw him on the sales pages today! Wish I had the money, he is a lovely horse and Erica is quite correct about his offspring.....Merlyn is a joy to own and such an easy going lad. Merlyn is a constant source of entertainment and I love him dearly.
Oh well, fingers crossed my lottery ticket comes up with a result! I hope whoever buys him, really enjoys him and we see more of him out showing next year. |

Posted - 21 Dec 2009 : 4:44:27 PM Susie T, I bought Merlyn from Louise too and I wholeheartly agree with you on the job Louise does with her horses. Merlyn is without doubt the most easy going youngster I've ever had and so well mannered. It is all down to Louise's hard work and effort and I would have no hesitation in buying a horse from her in the future!
Fingers crossed for a lovely new mum for Ben soon |

Posted - 21 Dec 2009 : 10:39:34 AM Yes, Louise did have Tera! I am hoping to speak to her soon - I wanted to wait until Tera had settled. She did a marvellous job with her, Tera is very well-mannered and very calm for her age. I have seen pictures of Tera's foal and I am not surprised you snapped her up - she looks absolutely gorgeous. I have no plans to breed with Tera again, but you never know what the future holds! I have been a bit shy of posting on her since I was lucky enough to find Tera (searching for nearly a year) as I don't really feel worthy! She is so much better than I am, but I am looking forward to next year and seeing how things develop - and I have several friends who would like to do dressage on her (all previous arab-haters!). |

Posted - 20 Dec 2009 : 4:57:17 PM I too, have a Ben baby - the lovely LA Bint Bint Cometera, or Tera, out of the gorgeous Bint Cometera. I have only had her a couple of months and still can't really believe she is mine. I have returned to horse-ownership after a VERY long break, and feel so lucky to have such a beautiful girl. She is funny and cheeky - sweet with just enough attitude! so I can imagine what a Star her father must be. Lovely to see the pictures of him and hope you find the perfect home for him. |

Posted - 20 Dec 2009 : 12:39:59 PM hi thanks for your lovely words they all very true im keeping his son. only as i have had a bad accident at work fell off horse got a broken arm that might need operation on and large swollen heamotoma on leg it has made me realise i cant have a collection myself as well as working with have horses its like going on holiday and taking your house with you. it just not fair on him as i not had enough time with him and didnt get chance to show him this year he loves going to partys. so for his sake i think he needs a new home were some one can have as much fun as what i have had with him and love him more than i do(which i dont think is possible!!!!!!i love him to bits i just dont have the time for him. we done so much together from braking him in to competing in shows to having to look at him every day its been a god send!!!! some body will have a nice stallion on there hands!!just finding the right home!!! |
