Posted - 18 Jul 2009 : 4:29:26 PM Every year there is sum1 who the timetable causes a problem for. This year its me. I am handling horses in the crabbet classes, however also senior geldings & veterans. If I am lucky enough to reach the crabbet championship theres a good chance it will clash with the Veteran gelding class. In the entry form geldings were originally friday am and crabbet friday pm so initially was not a problem. Oh well just going to have to cut myself into two!
I can imagine the timetable is a nightmare to sort and I think Jayne has done a fantastic job just wish the geldings could have stayed in the morning.
As said above though the timetable causes problems for numerous people, I'm not the first and won't be the last.

Posted - 17 Jul 2009 : 2:28:24 PM Many thanks for the confirmation on the Gelding/Crabbet situation, I was hoping that it might be the case that the Gelding class was split into two
Many Thanks

Posted - 17 Jul 2009 : 12:04:21 PM Can I just say, without wanting to pat a fellow council member on the back - but credit where credit is due , that Jayne has worked soooooooo hard on this timetable, I've tried to help but all i can do is read them through when she's done them . She has worked tirelessly on them and like she said tried to work it so no clashes occur... |

We have been very careful to try and ensure no-ones classes clash! - you would not beleive the amount of time that goes into perfecting the timetable.
Yes there may be the odd oversight (with over 1000 entries) - but i personally checked the Crabbet classes - the only two geldings that are entered in both classes are in the "senior" section of class 10 - so
The geldings are in at 14.30 in the crabbett classes (timetabled to finish 14:50) and at 15:15 in the main ring - so although they are close they should be able to compete in both.
Hope that helps!

Posted - 16 Jul 2009 : 8:07:18 PM Jayne, the HOYS stallions on Saturday are unlikely to go on as late as 11.10am. Is that time for the HOYS geldings a 'not before' time please? And will the geldings be split; if so will it be senior or junior first, and at what times please?
