Posted - 03 Jul 2009 : 1:02:02 PM I just wanted to share this photograph which was sent to me a few weeks ago. This is Maggie Mae (GR Amaretto/Ffaberge) who left here over three years ago. What a uplifting and heart warming moment to find this pic in your inbox, still owned by the same lady, Janet Woodward of Cornwall and obviously very well cared for and loved !!
Thank you Janet......fantastic !!

Posted - 05 Jul 2009 : 2:31:32 PM Had one of those 'glad to breed horses' days yesterday at the Classic. A lady appeared alongside our trailer with a charming bay mare announcing that this was Vlacq Copper Cascade, she had been sold as a foal and I had kept in touch with the first owners until they eventually parted with her after an in hand showing career, How lovely to discover her new owners planing a whole new career fot her under saddle. Like meeting a long lost relative. Making me feel old though as I bred her 'Mum' too. Have any easy way of working out the ages of our home bred Anglos and Part breds, from 2001 names alphabetically each year, so CC is 6. |

Posted - 05 Jul 2009 : 1:24:49 PM Thank you for the lovely compliments but I wasn't fishing for any !!! Just wanted to share happy endings....as you say Fiona there are too many sad stories. It's odd really, if I get enquiries for hoses they are usually from Devon/Cornwall or Scotland !!! |

I bought two brothers 3 years ago now and keep their previous owner/breeder updated on stuff we do, maybe too much, i text after every show, send photos and pretty much a full account of how we got on!! I always thought i'd like to know how they were if i had had to sell and I enjoy sharing my news too |

Posted - 03 Jul 2009 : 10:01:09 PM I too hear from my babies mum's; it is wonderful when they get good homes. Delyth, you have certainly bred some lovely horses and the side head shot in my signature is of Einstein, my GR Amaretto boy out of Crown Princess. I am so pleased with him even if he is a bit of a toerag! I also have his half sister (GR Amaretto out of Shalique); two very nice horses.

Posted - 03 Jul 2009 : 5:30:06 PM Janet has asked me to post this picture for her of Maggie Mae which was taken in May this year.
Here is her half sister Pandoraa by GR Amaretto out of A Little Precious, also bred by Delyth who is owned by me and in foal to Ali Barba for next year, so Delyth is going to be a grannie!

That mare looks so contented - warm and fuzzy feelings! well done all |

Posted - 03 Jul 2009 : 1:13:21 PM How lovely for you Delyth, it really does bring a smile to your face when you get those surprise piccies of babies that you bred being all grown up
I also get a 'photo' christmas card and updates from the owner of the first foal I bred 9 years ago It is so nice to see he is still very much loved and well cared for by his owner, she even had him at her wedding!
