My poor boy was PTS on saturday, he was bred by me and rescued back 6 years ago in terrible condition, he was the reason for my doing a few rescues since then, I always knew he wouldn't live into old age, the damage was too severe, in fact he was so ill last year I thought we would lose him then, so gallop free my beautiful boy, I am so sorry I didn't protect you from the terrible abuse you suffered, I am going to miss you, . |

RIP Bel Ami. So sad that someone treated him badly, every breeders nightmare, pat yourself on the back that you gave him those six happy years, those will be the ones he remembers.xxx |

How heartbreaking it must be to find a horse that you bred in terrible condition, but as others have said Mandy you should not beat yourself up, he has gone as a much-loved boy, something some never know. You did your best and thats all any of us can do. I know that's no consolation to you at the moment though. Rest in peace Bel Ami and big hugs to your mum xx |

Oh Mandy Im so sorry to read this.....we all know how much you give to your horses, but atleast he ended his life with you & he would have known without a doubt how much you loved him & battled for him.

Mandy you give so much of yourself to those in your care and you must be torn apart by this loss, but think how much he knew he was loved by you, and take great comfort in that darlin , bless you again for all you do to help rescue horses  |
