Posted - 31 May 2009 : 9:57:04 PM Just had to mention my mare Bylinka after her incredible performance at Aintree today. I bought this mare last year because I have her daughter by Ronaldo who was Res Supreme at HOCON 2yrs ago. This beautiful mare was in a riding school ( Western ridden ) in eastern Germany and of very little account. She was for sale as the owner was bored of her and said she would be a brood mare !!!!!!!!!! When I saw her loose, I was so excited I thought I would burst. Then to be approached by this wonderful mare who had never seen me before, who nuzzled me so lovingly, WOW. She was delivered to me at Towerlands last year and turned several heads whilst just walking her in the outdoor sand school. I promised her there and then I would make something of her. Today was a dream come true.straight 20's and winner of her class, then res res, Never been in a show ring !!!!! -an absolute stonking trot
Sorry for rattling on a bit but I am so proud
Janine and Bylinka, you made my heart sing, thankyou from the bottom of my heart
lots of love
Janet

Posted - 02 Jun 2009 : 3:18:00 PM A huge thankyou to all for your lovely words I'm so glad you saw her Lori, these Russian mares are something else aren't they ? Marilyn, I asked of her whereabouts whilst on stud visits in Germany and was told she was quite far away down in eastern Germany. In a nutshell, three and a half hours later in sweltering heat we arrived at the riding school. For those who have not been to this region,it's like walking back in time, and quite poor in parts. I don't think anyone at the school could quite believe it when the ' mad English' asked to turn her loose and clap and whoop, you couldn't helpit she was amazing then. !!!! All stud agog as this insignificant mare transformed into a trotting, snorting phenomena. How could I leave her there totally unappreciated ? It was hard to drive away but I knew in my heart I would have her home as soon as I possibly could. Now look what she has achieved Bless her forever and a day

Posted - 01 Jun 2009 : 4:11:03 PM I forgot to thank Janet in my last post for keeping us all in food and drink.Janet must be the only person i know who can cater for over a dozen people with a three course meal from the back of a wagon. Not sure it was covered by my weight watchers diet but it was wonderful. Thanks again. Andrea. |

Posted - 01 Jun 2009 : 10:05:30 AM I was lucky enough to be with Janet when we first met Bylinka and what a mare. She is such a people horse who just adores cuddles and kisses and loves life to the full. From the first meeting I have been waiting to see Bylinka in the show ring and boy was it worth the wait. Her trot is just mega (the first horse of the day to get three 20's for movement.) and I'm not sure how Janine kept up with her. Janet you should be so proud you always had such faith in her and she didn't let you down she was such a star. I hope Marilyn,Dean and Annie got some good photo's. You better up the security at Rosebank, you know how much I love Bylinka I might just have to come and pinch her. Once again well done. Andrea.

Posted - 01 Jun 2009 : 09:31:40 AM Now you have to take her up a level and get the same result in the ridden ring, let her forget all her past western work they are so adaptable.
Full results will be on the showing section as soon as I get time to type them in. |
