Posted - 30 Jun 2013 : 2:10:54 PM Thank you to the organisers, the officials and the helpers for a great ride. The new course was brilliant and rode really well. I thought Cathy (the Strawbry Blond) would hold us up as Safiy Samir is a lot fitter with a high cruising speed. Plus Cathy was only broken in last October, at the age of 7, after a life of being a broodmare. I checked the Garmin at C.P 4 and we were averaging over 16 k.p.h. We would have been eliminated for going too fast so had to slow up! Ended up on 14.33 k.p.h. with a Grade 1 for Safiy and a Grade 3 for Cathy.

Posted - 01 Jul 2013 : 2:25:59 PM Wow well done Cathy! We were crewing a friend and watching everyone this year. ( Laddie wasn't quite fit enough for Windsor as we have had a late start)...hope to be back there next year though as it is such a lovely ride.
