Posted - 17 May 2013 : 08:18:14 AM Summer and I are doing the 24k pleasure ride at Tugby on Sunday, anyone been, anyone going? If she likes it I have plans for the rest of the season but it's been a long time since I did any distance riding. Any tips/comments gratefully received! |

Posted - 17 May 2013 : 08:38:04 AM Thank you Callisto - I had thought of the green ribbon a while ago then forgot -so a timely reminder! Rain looks very likely now so good advice - nothing worse than being soggy all the way home!
Hope you enjoy your family ride, sounds great. Summs and I might be all alone as there are only a few in our class - but I'm sure there'll be other experienced folks whizzing around! Hoping for bluebells on the way and a safe trip! She is only hacking fit so no great speed expected, just a fun time |

Posted - 17 May 2013 : 08:29:13 AM Enjoy yourselves, consider putting a green ribbon on her tail to signal novice status, make sure everything that you are both wearing is comfortable. Take a change of clothes in case it is wet, make sure you have access to plenty of food and drink, enjoy yourselves!
Lily and I are going to our first pleasure ride of the year in a family group on Sunday - my Mum, sister, cousin and me, plus my Aunt as general factotum, it's currently forecast to rain all day.... |
