I wanted to take ramak but I am not a uptodate member of the EGB although i will rejoin again i am sure. I did want to record whatever results we achieve on the day somehow, am I correct in thinking that I can have a 'day' card to do this on.. feeling a bit rusty and need some guidance!help!

Posted - 13 Jul 2009 : 8:21:52 PM Boohoo my trailer broke on the morning of the ride at 7.20 - horse plaited and booted and ready to rock. Have spent today in the trailer repair shop and Saturday in selfish disappointed misery. So much work goes into just one day doesnt it? I hope the rest of you had a lovely ride and who is up for Ashdown Forest then? |

Posted - 13 Jul 2009 : 01:01:27 AM Fabulous day at Windsor, excellently marked and thanks to Linda, Sam and Team for the watering our team at the checkpoint. Notid with a heart rate of 46 beginning and end got a grade 2, and Anganate Safinat who is the fourth runner from the 2 mile race at Hereford also completed the 32km with a grade 1. TFA Al Ifa who raced a couple of times last year did the pleasure ride as did our tb Kings Cavalier (4th in the open handicap at Hereford)

Posted - 12 Jul 2009 : 1:11:26 PM Kizhi having just completed her 64km at Windsor with a Grade 1.......maybe that's what she was saving herself for at Hereford ARO racing last weekend !! Sharka also went in the 80km and got a Grade 2. Also David Paton was there doing a 32km on Notid,(a Hereford ARO winner) so that was three of the runners in that 2mile race.....1st and 3rd and 4th. Just goes to prove that you can mix racing and endurance. Kihzi ARO racing at Hereford in the winners enclosure..with Linda. There are more on the Radfoto site. pp.Linda

Posted - 02 Jul 2009 : 8:40:11 PM I'm not sure I understand the map either. Its fine until checkpoint 5/8 but then there seems ample room for error! I think if I was nearer I might go and walk that bit.I'm starting at 9.40. . Looking forward to seeing you all. I'm number 87 so shout hello if I dont recognise you! |

Posted - 02 Jul 2009 : 5:10:25 PM The map does look like a spider has crawled all over it and distinctly worry with my ability for taking wrong turns!
However looking forward to 32k Novice CR and Cinny and I will be having fun with our friends Suz and her Icelandic, Orie. We vet at 10am. |

Posted - 02 Jul 2009 : 12:57:00 PM Panicked!! I had everything through yesterday too and I can't make head nor tail of the map What's this about keeping orange cones on your right for turns but if they're always on your right, you're going the wrong way?!!
I don't think I'm ever going to finish the ride.... we'll just remain lost in the park |
