Posted - 10 Jun 2013 : 09:42:50 AM Well the 9th came and went without serious incident.
From an 'organisers' point of view, although there were very few entries, I saw allot of smiles and an obscene amount of rosettes
We all did allot of running around like headless chickens but I hoped we managed to accommodate you all and that everyone had a great time.
Feedback good and bad is welcomed.
The cake stall was FABULOUS |

Posted - 11 Jun 2013 : 9:56:55 PM Thank you :) and well done you two (and everybody else who took part). Ruthie I just loved your youngster - a star in the making i'm sure and Summer is a lovely mare, I watched her win the ridden crabbet and she went beautifully. |

Posted - 11 Jun 2013 : 2:22:31 PM You all did really well! Be proud!
We are planning next year. There will be a change of venue but we'll keep in Central England, fair for all that way.
Hopefully, we'll be a bit more organised this time |

Posted - 11 Jun 2013 : 12:12:55 PM I really enjoyed it (I was showing the chestnut who won the Crabbet in-hand class). Will definitely be there next year :) |

Posted - 10 Jun 2013 : 11:15:31 PM It was a great day, good venue, relaxed atmosphere and yummy cakes! It was a shame that entries were low but I think a new event needs time to become known and those of us that went can spread the word for next year. Summer and I really enjoyed ourselves, thank you to everyone who worked so hard to create such a lovely day out |

Posted - 10 Jun 2013 : 9:27:34 PM I second what Ruthie said. I had a brilliant time even though I wasn't able to bring Red in the end, catching up with people I knew before illness took me out of the Arab world. It is a pity there weren't more entries but when the word goes round that we all had a great time they should be better for next year. The venue is ideally placed - apart from being close to me () it has good access from M5, M6 and M54. There was a lovely atmosphere and none of the noisy behaviour which upsets both horses and humans alike. Already looking forward to next year, hopefully with horse!
Many thanks to all those whose efforts made the day possible. |
