Posted - 15 Aug 2012 : 2:55:53 PM It is still a little over a fortnight till the closing date for these two shows (31st August 2012), but already the entrys are coming in quite quickly.
I had provisionally booked 46 Stables, and have already sold 32 - so if you do need some i suggest you get your entrys in fairly soon (I am hoping to book some more - but they will be subject to availability)
New Classes for BAC and BAHPAC
The British Amateur Home-produced Arabian Championships and the British Arabian Championships take place at the Kings Equestrian Centre, Bromyard, on the weekend of 8/9 September. There are new classes at both shows as well as an Arab Horse Society dressage event on the Saturday afternoon.
Full details are as below:
British Amateur Home Produced Arabian Championships (BAHPAC)
Saturday 8 September
New classes (in-hand judge Rod Jones)
Class 9 amateur handled youngstock – pure, part or Anglo
Class 10 amateur handled adult – pure, part or Anglo
New class (ridden judge Tina Bennett)
Class 17 amateur ridden – pure, part or Anglo
These new classes do not have to be qualified for.
It is the handler/rider only that has to be an amateur, so the horse may have been produced, shown etc by a professional. These classes are judged like a normal show class – and the judge will ride unless a part-bred under 14.2hh.
More details can be found on the BAHPAC website
Arab Horse Society Dressage
The AHS is holding two dressage tests at BAHPAC and BAC's on the Saturday afternoon, thus allowing competitors for both shows to take part.
The tests will be P7 and N28, and a British Dressage List 4 judge is booked.
These will be open and there will be no need to have qualified or entered either BAHPAC or BAC.
More details visit the AHS webshop where it is possible to enter
There will be champagne and chocolates for the winners as well as a sash for the highest-placed AHS registered horse, ridden by an AHS member.
British Arabian Championships
Sunday 9 September
There are five new classes for 2012, , for pure-bred fillies, colts, mares, foals, and stallions. in-hand judge Emma Maxwell
As a concession for this year because these classes are new, and a lot of qualifiers have been cancelled, exhibitors may enter the new classes without qualifying if they have been in a qualifying place – the top five – at an affiliated show in 2012, with the exception of foals who do not need to qualify. However, an extra £20 will have to be paid – £10 for the card and a £10 levy.
As always, there are a huge array of prizes and awards for both shows including prize money, champagne to BAC winners and specifically commissioned plaques for BAHPAC Champions.
More details can be found on the AHS Website and the BAHPAC website or by contacting me.
If you are unsure if you are eligible or qualified for either of these shows - please contact either me or Sally etchells and we will do our best to help |
