Posted - 12 Aug 2012 : 11:02:11 PM such a shame only 3 entries,2 of which were the sponsor, what can be done to encourage people to compete at local shows?Chertsey is a super show a great day out lots to see, plenty of space, great working in,5mins from the motorway, cheap entries, super rosettes, what more do people want, the decline in entries at all local shows is not just recession, the arab classes have very little support,"use it or lose it".

Posted - 28 Aug 2012 : 12:12:40 PM hiya - I did the AA/PBA ridden this yr and enojoyed it very much with my sisters AA whom i am definately pinching for next season lol .. with regards to the show - when we worked hard a promoting even 2 yrs ago we had entries of 10 or more.. i have the piccies to prove it! I have said before I will continue to help support local classes if I can - next yr is four winds which comes out of my pocket in memory of my horse pananache.. and i know others on here contributed to the championship rosettes. with chertsey yes it ticks loads of boxes but we would need to affilate it properly - Nut sponsors the championship and it would be nice to affilate the AA/PBA classes to a cherif qualifier// what does everyone think? x

Posted - 13 Aug 2012 : 09:40:57 AM Depends if I carry on sponsoring it. It would be nice to see the classes return to usual 6-10 we had three or four years ago for sure.
It shrunk to the point there is no point getting a panel judge in for one class but instead using a judge from one of the other classes that is there for the day so they dont feel they have had a wasted journey.
