Posted - 07 Feb 2011 : 6:49:54 PM As Im new to the pba showing mallarkey I just wanted to ask something. I know they are shown with coloured browbands. However just about all pba's Ive seen are hack types. My boy is def not a hack. He's likely to be a small hunter. Do I still use a coloured browband? (in the youngstock classes)
Thanks |

Posted - 08 Feb 2011 : 10:26:16 PM I used a plain segmented brass browband at all levels of showing but no diamantes.
Just a personal preference to keep the pretty effeminate coloured ones for mares and fillies.

Posted - 08 Feb 2011 : 6:28:34 PM I took him to a couple of local shows last year and used my mares brass browband. I liked him in it. I actually prefer him in it than coloured ones. Is it alright at county level tho? Im taking him to his first county show in may. I have ordered a coloured one and tried to keep it as masculine as possible with making it quite dark and minimal diamontes. |
