Posted - 21 Jan 2011 : 2:37:45 PM I am looking to bring my boy out under saddle this year and havent done it for many years. He will be in novice classes so can you tell me what he needs to have. ie snaffle bridle or double. If double can you ride in a dummy pelham look alike as he really shouldnt need a pelham in his mouth ? Any recommendations ?
Also in novice classes what is exceptable is it plain colour jacket or tweed in colour ?
Will he be ridden by judge in novice classes ?
Looking at doing county and c shows possibly

Posted - 21 Jan 2011 : 4:37:52 PM You can show in either a snaffle or pelham - whichever he is happiest in. Just make sure the overall picture looks neat. The judge will ride in all afill. novice classes (though there are new rules allowing IH panel judges to judge riddens from the ground, so perhaps at county shows you might be required to ride a show). Tweed jacket for novices, pocket full of polos and a huge smile are mandatory! |
