Posted - 22 Aug 2010 : 8:34:24 PM As Chairman of the Scottish Regional Group I would like to post on Arabianlines to say how very proud I am of all our group members and also every person who has shown and supported Arabians in Scotland over the past year.
Yesterday we held our second group show of 2010 and it was fantastic, Special thanks to Lynn our Northern show secretary for such a well ran show, thanks also to our judges, stewards and everyone who helped and took part, it was a joy
You are all a credit to the breed. At no time have I ever had to raise even an eyebrow at the conduct of anyone at any show which I have attended throughout our country.
Thank you for showing your beautiful horses with total empathy and respect. Well Done everyone who has played their part in supporting our Scottish Arabians.
kind regards Stuart Finlay |

Posted - 23 Aug 2010 : 09:21:54 AM Well said Stuart. Every horse yesterday was presented beautifully and they all showed themselves off fantastically. Its worlds apart from the discussions we often see on here about frightened or hyped up horses, yet they all possessed that Arabian flair
Well done everyone |

Posted - 22 Aug 2010 : 9:40:38 PM I've only ever been to Scottish shows and I find it all hard to imagine when we get these threads on disputed showing ways and poor conduct when all of ours are so calm and respectful to humans and horses. I just hope ours stays the way it is! That said I haven't been to a show in a while Ah, maybe next year I'll catch up with everyone

Posted - 22 Aug 2010 : 8:39:26 PM Stuart,
As a past member of the SRG and having the chance to judge at your show - I think the members should take a HUGE bow. They not only have great distances to make to attend the shows but all manage to show with great enthusiasm and friendliness.
Long may you all continue to help and support each other - its a wonderful attribute to being Scottish Members of the AHS.
Regards
