Posted - 17 Nov 2010 : 11:41:08 AM I can certainly attest to the friendliness of the show and my foal loved it there when we went. (This year's foal was a July baby and is still on her mother)

Posted - 16 Nov 2010 : 11:30:07 PM Hope to see you all on sunday, a lovely show - you can come and see the stars of the future!
As a reporter I've loved following these babies on over the years to have an in hand/ridden career, & finally to have their own foals. |

Posted - 27 Oct 2010 : 08:35:36 AM Yes... stabling is available at Solihull RC Centre. There are a limited number available and can be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Stable reservations have to be booked through Solihull RC (the telephone number is on the front cover of BNFOY Schedule)
Hope this helps

Posted - 26 Oct 2010 : 9:49:12 PM Hi Babs, is there an option for overnight stabling for those that have a distance to travel? |

Posted - 06 Oct 2010 : 4:32:21 PM Hi Wildrose.....don`t be put off for being a `first timer` into the showring. We are a really friendly Show and staff will help with any concerns or worries you may have.
One of the rules of the show is NO CLIPPING so the fact your foal has a bit of a woolley coat will certainly not go against him/her. Perhaps you can start getting your foal used to being rugged, which will help flatten the coat
Please download the schedule and read all the Rules and Regulations
The show in held indoors and so is the collecting ring and this is our eighth show...so far absolutely no problems...foals really seem to enjoy the day out

Posted - 06 Oct 2010 : 4:21:49 PM Hello, I too am thinking of bringing my homebred foal to this show, but am also an amateur & first-timer My question is that foaly in question already has a little woolly coat. Will this be held against him? He is also a part-bred Arab tobiano.
Thanks for your help.

Posted - 05 Oct 2010 : 8:47:45 PM Hi again......Yes, methinks you DO qualify for amateur status and these classes are restricted to peeps like yourself. Exhibits are shown as in other classes.
If you look on my website at the results pics for 2009...your dress code and way of turnout for your foal can be observed. Foal should be plaited

Posted - 05 Oct 2010 : 6:52:32 PM Thankyou very much! i have also sent an enquiry through your website, so you can ignore it now! At least I wont be panicking re paperwork before hand....will have enough to keep me busy! He si registered part bred arab, so thats fine, and it is very much apparent he is skewbald, and want to get him dual registered anyway, so that shouldnt be a problem.
What does the Amatuer home produced class entail......actually the fact that I have to ask the question probably makes me eligible!! This is my first foal, and first showing for many years...I'm nervous already... |

Posted - 05 Oct 2010 : 6:43:22 PM Hi.....thank you for your interest. Foals have to be eligible for registration for their breed/type, in the class you are entering.
See Rule 2. in Rules and Regulations in the Schedule " All entries must be ELIGIBLE for/or REGISTERED......."
When filling on your entry form, where asking for the Foals Reg. No. write RAF (Registration Applied For) You may also be eligible to enter Amateur Home Produced class??
Hope this clarifies for you and hope to see you on the day

Posted - 05 Oct 2010 : 5:36:05 PM Hello....wonder if anybody can answer, I am interested in attending the show, my foal arrives to me this month, and feel it would a very good aim, however he is currently registered as a part bred arab, for which there is a class, but he is also coloured, again another class I would be interested in entering.....would he also need to be chaps registered for the coloured class? I know i can get his passported overstamped with chaps, but not sure it will be back in time for the show? Any advice welcome? Many Thanks |
