Posted - 26 Nov 2014 : 6:40:56 PM I have a filly with alot of Polish blood & I'm curious to find out a bit more about her breeding, there are names I recognise, but I'm sadly lacking when it comes to the Polish part of her breeding, any info gratefully received!

Posted - 17 Dec 2014 : 9:48:35 PM Sadika was one of my personal favourite Arabians (hence my log-in name on here!) - she was at Silverdale Arabians in Esat Sussex until she passed away and they bred your filly's dam. She had a beautiful head and big dark eyes. She is well-known as the dam of the stallion Esta Espashan. I also remember Prince Sergei as I went to photograph him for the AHS Illustrated Guide that I produced many moons ago! He was in Norfolk. |

Posted - 10 Dec 2014 : 5:24:43 PM Pleased to help - I'm sure your filly is lovely with that pedigree. Garnet, the liver chestnut in first and third sig pics, was 62.5% Arab which was virtually all Crabbet and Polish. I always thought I could see Grojec in her conformation. |

Posted - 10 Dec 2014 : 4:54:09 PM Thanks for that, I've taken your advice & gone Google crazy, it looks like she has a strong racing heritage! I'm entirely with you when it comes to type, so I think they're fabulous! |

Posted - 28 Nov 2014 : 8:09:52 PM Grojec is in my Garnet's pedigree and was a very prominent sire, as was his son Sky Crusader. I am sure you could find some info by Googling them. Grojec was a lovely substantial sort of horse - that would probably be taken as an insult in some quarters these days but he was my kind of boy. You also have some lovely Crabbet breeding through Silver Blue. If you click on the names in All Breeds you can find some basic information by clicking on i and photos by clicking on the little horse icon for each one. Hope this helps a bit. |
