Posted - 01 Apr 2013 : 10:45:40 PM Hi, been years since I've been on here (managed to reset my password) but trying to do a drawing project to celebrate Gaymar's 28th year and could use some help! I'm hoping to do something based on the horses in his pedigree. Gaymar (aka Gillie) is Gaymet X Ahmar-I-Sham and although I have found photos to draw of the sire's side on Allbreed Pedigree, there aren't any of the dam's side.
I remember ages ago someone saying they remembered Ahmar-I-Sham so if anybody can point me to her photo and her sire/dam's photos I'd be very grateful |

Posted - 13 Apr 2013 : 8:09:18 PM Hi Kath My parents owned Ahmar I Sham, a beautiful mare who bred some lovely foals. I believe your boy was probably bred by Audrey Paul when Ahmar I Sham was on breeding lease from my parents to her for a time. The year that she had your boy she was then covered by Senecio and returned in foal to us. The following year she produced returned to us and produced a stunning colt called Dahmir. Dahmir who only passed away a couple of years ago. Senecio of course was exported to Canada that same year so we could never repeat that breeding. If you PM me your email address I can dig out some photo's of her to send to you and also of her son Dahmir. Tanya |
