Posted - 16 Mar 2011 : 6:34:21 PM CAS Rosaroma (Shogun x Di Roma) is back with Pat Wallwork. We have a colt out of her by Ali Shahmaal but unfortunately it's not been possible to register him due to a breakdown in registrations before we bought him.

Posted - 15 Mar 2011 : 11:17:28 PM I also was interested in what was happening to the Tadsor Stud and horses. It is my understanding that all the old records went to Derbyshire Archives and previously I managed to get all the bits of information I wanted from there. I think the records might be available on line.
I also have some notes on Tadsor as some of the horses made there way through Beeston Markey and were sold on, a pal of mine bought a Bay stallion from Beeston and two mares were sold the same day, one was a Grey, they were all older. The stallion was 18 then but a stunning horse.
On the old AL Archives, I failed to get the link to open to Derbyshire Archives. Although I have used it in the past.
There are a few folks on here that were involved with habdling the paperwork and photo's. and some with knowledge of the horses.. ------------------------------------------- In 1969 Arabian Directory Tadsor has a listing. El Attorlando: 1958 ch.Horse (a 4 year old) Radiance: 1952 Bay. Mare. Khada: 1955 Bay Geld. Rikki: 1955 Bay Geld. Ahmarani: 1964 Ch. Geld. Radoma: 1967 Grey Filly Al Kahira: 1968 Grey Filly.(pic on allbreeds)
Posted - 15 Mar 2011 : 6:25:59 PM In 1991 cawthorne Arabians bought three Mares from Hilda, she was having problems then and HAPPA was helping her feed them. They were Sharlanda, Princess Di-Roma and Nugtat Matar. Sharland had a beautiful filly by Shogun - CAS Sholanda - who was bought by Pauline Crick and was sold abroad to a lady that sometimes posts on here.
Princess Di- Roma had a filly by Shogun which was bought by Pat Wallwork who used to post on here.
Nugtat Matar was loaned to a friend of mine to get a foal out of her and I'm not sure what happened to her after that.
They along with most of the others on your list are long gone now.
If I remember rightly Al Kahira was a grey and she stood out from all the rest as she was the only grey in a herd of chestnuts and bays. When I met Hilda in 1991 she was already on her own and in poor health ( she could hardly walk) but from what I heard of Tadsor Stud, in it's day it was one to be reckoned with especially on the ridden side.

Posted - 15 Mar 2011 : 5:27:09 PM Hi I was contacted late 2002/early 2003 by Hilda who was then unable to look after her horses. I had just put an obituary in AHS for my stallion and she wanted me to take one of hers, a young chestnut called I think Squirty or something similar. She said she had 3 stallions still and her old mare out on loan to someone in Scotland. She sent me photos and info on the stud which I later returned to her as I decided not to go and look. I regret that very much now as I think that the RSPCA eventually took the horses.

Posted - 15 Mar 2011 : 04:46:52 AM There was a lengthy thread about this a year or so back. Perhaps the moderators would be able to locate it for you. A lady who posted on here had gathered lots of the studs material & documents with the intention of archiving it.

Posted - 14 Mar 2011 : 11:52:08 PM I've looked for those names on NED and none come up bar Rikki which gives 35 results. This could just mean they are registered under other names.
Hopefully other members will give you better information
