Posted - 24 Nov 2009 : 9:29:10 PM Was the breeding of Fiona, dam of Ochre Golden Tan ever discovered? I remember someone was looking into it as they were with Sylvia, who has now been discovered but can't remember seeing if Fiona was found. |

Posted - 06 Dec 2009 : 11:03:04 AM Have found Ochre Golden Tan's registration entry. It is BPS volume III no 837. Unfortunately it just gives breding as by Mr. Sun-Tan/Fiona. Breeder: Miss R Dinham, Redditch. Owner Mrs. R. Browne, Bicester. Jan Browne is still breeding but she may not know Fiona's breeding if she just bought the colt in. |

Posted - 06 Dec 2009 : 10:54:11 AM Have found this photo of Ochre Golden tan in a stud advert from 1969
Advert says:
"Ochre Golden Tan BPD No 837 vol III 15.2 hh 1965 Sire Mr. Sun-Tan Dam: Fiona Ochre Golden Tan's top class breeding needs no explanation. He has true plaomino colour combined with quality and th ekindest temperanment. MK Heathcote, Kersey, Staplehurst Kent.
I will look back to the 1965 mags and see if it gives any clues on Fiona's breeding. |
