Posted - 17 Nov 2009 : 11:05:19 AM Hi guys I am still trying to find out how Beausari's dam was bred (a gap in my mares pedigree!), from a previous post now archived I found out that Beausari is in the pba register vol V1, born 1956, bay, sire Misari (purebred), dam Beauty (unknown), Beausari bred by Miss J V Kneller. I did send a letter to the AHS but never had a reply. Can anyone suggest any societies I could try, or know of Miss Kneller? Any help greatly appreciated! |

Posted - 18 Nov 2009 : 8:25:37 PM Just had an e-mail from my friend who bred my mare, she has said that Heiress was 13.2-14hh bay with a mealy nose like an Exmoor, so she thought she was Arab x TB x Exmoor! |

Posted - 18 Nov 2009 : 10:18:32 AM Hi Melynda, thanks for your reply, maybe the Beauty you found could be the Beauty I'm looking for, I would imagine that she would have been bay, as Beausari was bay & her sire chestnut. Do you have details of her sire & dam please? It would be great if I could find out if Miss Kneller had a stud & if so what type of horses she bred as it may give me a better idea. Beausari was bred to Alnimran in 1966, to produce "Glenleigh Heiress", my mares grand-dam, but not sure if she was still owned by Miss Kneller then, or if Heiress was bred by someone else. |

Posted - 17 Nov 2009 : 3:44:46 PM Misari's owner was a Mrs M. Masters if it helps.
There are a few H.S.B. registered under the name Beauty during that era. One of them a brown mare 15.2hh born 1949 with nearly all thoroughbred breeding. |
