Al Emeer by Emenes/Gretta.Would love to know more about my boy's breeding, and personalities etc. anything really!!! Looked on All Breeds, seen some photo's, googled some names... but not much luck!!! Seems to be some old Crabbet names???

Thanks CJ... thats kind of you! I have tried to back track through the tail femail posts by Egbert to see if any info on the Emese line, found it fascinating that Gari could tell about personality traits etc. Doesnt seem to be anything on there really. Had Ali since end May, settled in well, takes most things in his stride, but can be very impatient! Gurns a lot too! Mainly at feed time... so am presuming its an impatience thing??? Emenes is registered in Vol 20 of the AHS stud book page 309, chestnut colt foaled 2003 by Emiratus B x Yasmena.
Emiratus B (HU), chestnut stallion f.1995 was bred by the Babolna Stud, Hungary and leased to Mr & Mrs E Jones, year of importation given as 2001. He’s registered in Vol 19 of the AHS Stud Book and is of the Seglawi Jedran strain (Bint Yamama)
Sire: El Thay Mameluk by Ibn Nazeema (Ameer x Nazeema) out of El Thay Mansoura (Machmut x Morava)
Dam: 223 Ibn Galal 1 by Ibn Galal 1 (Ibn Galal (Magdi) x Hanan) out of 23 Ghalion (Ghalion x El Aziza)
Yasmena (NL), chestnut f. 1997 bred by H.A.M. Kuijf-v.d.Zwet and registered in Vol 19 page 638, strain not known (Milordka), again imported by Mr & Mrs. E Jones, year of import given as 1998.

Yes, your boy does have Crabbet/English bloodlines but he also has a lot of Russian, Polish and Egyptian breeding too with many of the 'great' names of the past - Aswan, Menes,Nabeg,Arax,Priboj, Salon and Mammona for a start plus many others. If you do a search under any of these names you should be able to find some information. If not, do ask as I'm sure we will be able to help.

It is the Emenes and Gretta from the Jones! Have Registration papers etc but have sent off to AHS to transfer ownership, may have copy at work... will check today!
He is on All Breeds Pedigree website, think thats what is called? |

Try the Jonses's. They had Emiratus B on lease; he was a lovely straigh Egyptian chestnut stallion. Gretta, by Grenlando was a big grey mare (if I have the right Gretta, not sure of the spelling of the one I saw, not really show quality but a nice mare and looked as if she would have made a nice riding horse. If I am thinking of the right mare they bred her.

I have spent an hopur trying to find your horse on datasource as I do not like to be beaten. I cannot find him and there are no receorded offspring for Gretta. I also cannot find Emenes registered in any stud book nor among the offspring of Menes. There are quite a few Menes registered throughout the world. Do you have a registration certificate for your boy as all registered arabians are on datasource. The only thing I wondered if as he was born in 2007 they may not be on there yet but Gretta should have her offspring on there. This may be the problem as I have checked for foals I know are registered and were born since 2004 and they are not showing. |

Oh, sorry my mistake! Sire is Emenes by Emiratus b and Yasmena, dam is Gretta by Grenlando and Silver Sariche.He is on All breeds if that helps???? |

I have checked Datasource but cannot find these horses even when asking for all stud books. There are some Grettas on there but none of them seem to have had a foal by Emenes. Incidentally I cannot find him either. |
