Posted - 17 Jun 2009 : 2:16:50 PM Hi Pelle There is a mention of Rayalah in a 1966 edition of palomino magazine. He was owned at that time by Miss Beresford of Herpes Stud near Wimborne in Dorset. He is described as a colt at that time so I would have thought he was born somewhere around 1964.
There is a further entry of a transfer of ownership in 1967 from Miss Beresford to Mrs. J Breach, Copthorne. This confirms parentage as "colt Vol III/584 by Alah II of Yeomans (chestnut) out of Gaylady (cremello)"
Have found a stud advert for 1968 which states:
"At stud Champion palomino Rayalah (1964) BPS, PBASB, 15 hh, delightful temperament"
If I come across any photos or more info I will post for you. Debs |

Posted - 12 Jun 2009 : 08:50:35 AM There is a palomino stallion called Rayalah listed in the Pony Stallion Guide 1971. Owner was a Mrs J. C. Breach, The Golden Palomino Stud, Furze Farm, Upper Copthorne Rd, Copthorne, Sussex. There is no advert so I can't help you with the breeding details or a picture. |
