One of the most beautiful crabbets, very, very pretty head, though i can't find any pictures of the whole of him!
Anyone have any decendants? does his prettiness travel through? I see iridos on a previous topic is a pretty boy.

Lets not forget ISTFAHAN the lovely grey stallion who also has a double line through his sire's dam, Aurelian(Ben Rabba)/Estrella and back to IREX 1927.
ISTFAHAN is happy breeding with the Owen family again for 2009, with all filly foals for 2009, with the exception of one, that is a beautiful colt out of Flittermouze.

I also have one, a bay, Nasseem 1998, he traces back to IREX 1927, through the Tollard Park lines, out of Nandina 1980,who has Irex on both sides, Nasib 1971, Nimet 1967,Iridos 1951,Irex 1927 and Nadea 1971, Zehros 1964, Zehraa 1951.

My old mare also has lines to Irex on both sides through, the small but beautifully formed, Champurrado. She maybe has a bit of an Irex look ?

That photo was taken this year - she is 15 years old .... aah, where does the time go! She really has to get a move on and give me that dream daughter. Thanks for admiring - she is the light of my life.
Lots of lovey horses on this thread. I was recently given a little known photo of the Irex grandson Gold Rex - how many of you remember him?
Anyone got any descendants of that branch in particular? Used to be so many but not many English ones left. At least we have the glorious Rusleem.
Then there are the Courthouse descended Champurado line - saw two stunning yearling fillies by Spearmint at Rosemary Archer's a few weeks ago. Silvern Princess' daughter Roselle owes a lot to that Rissla/Irex type - just gorgeous.
Keep on with the photos folks. Love all those Templars' Arabaians - saw quite a few "cousins" at Diana Whittome's last weekend. Definitely wanted to sneak away with one of those double Imad fillies descended from Tarentella, Fafalla is just lovely. |

Hi Everyone,
My 100% Crabbet mare Narishka (Ranadi - Nafranta) has one line to Irex via his bay daughter Wardi (from Rishka by Naufal). She also carries 8 lines in total to Irex's sire Naseem and 2 lines to Irex's dam Rissla. She is grey like Naseem but was born bay, a characteristic she inherits in direct line from the Irex daughter Wardi. Just thought I'd share.

Our other stallion, Star Ascendant (Star of the Seasons x Zaphelia)
And our little yearling colt, Malazaar (Madkour x Amira Obeyd) carries 2 crosses - sadly Malcolm's dam rejected him and he has been hand reared.

My past stallion, El Sharluke, also had Irex through his great-grand-dam, Wardi.
Therefore Kathleen, the foal by Masadi should have 3 x Irex in its bloodline.

Our stallion Zakhahn has Irex through his sire Khairho and grandsire Zourrak. He is not only beautiful but has fabulous conformation for performance and the best of all temperaments. My vet had to check there was undercarriage because he is such a sweetheart to handle, he thought I might have been mistaken when I said he was entire!
