Is Sarah not able to tell you whom she purchased your mare (with foal) and, I'm presuming, SBA Last but not Least, from? She must know who she bought them from..lol! Or were they purchased at an auction/sale?
Can't really help any further, other than to echo Linda, and ask if she's perhaps microchipped, that may shed some light, unless the microchip has been done by Sarah, and then you'll be back to square one.
I would definitely be inclined to contact the mare's previous owner and ask her to help you trace her parentage. If she did originally come from the same stud as Last but not Least, then she may be an Cas Sabur daughter too. I know he had foals by Leishah (Ajan/Linarya) around 2007/2008...which would tie in with your girl's year of birth. |

Does the mare have a microchip by any chance? This might help trace her origins. |

Did your mare originally come from Ann's Sunnybank Stud? Or is that just where the sire of the foal was from? I'm confused as to where you bought her from 16-18 months ago. As you rightly say, both Indyah and Ann are deceased.
I have a pic of Indyah if you'd like to see...and there are lots of Cas Sabur, google is your friend on that one!
SBA Last but Not Least was advertised at stud by his current owner, Sarah Topley..not sure of her alias on here...but she is on FB if you need to message her :)
Good luck in tracing your mare's parentage..the previous owner would be a good starting point, or perhaps the AHS? |
