Posted - 30 Mar 2014 : 11:01:06 AM What we really need to know to recommend a stallion is what needs to be improved on your mare e.g. poor topline, go for a stallion who comes from a line with good toplines and produces good toplines. Photos of your mare and an honest assessment of her good and bad points would be a great help. Also, do you want more size or are you happy with her size and bone?
Don't just go for a much advertised stallion; there are lots of lovely stallions around who rarely see a mare and would probably produce a wonderful foal for you (and be a lot cheaper). Also, think about SCID, CA and possibly LFS. I assume your mare has not been tested so you would need a stallion who was not a carrier to be safe especially if you wanted a filly and may breed from her in the future.
All the best.

Posted - 29 Mar 2014 : 7:45:21 PM Hello Shelley, Sky Comet was by Sky Crusader and I think he was owned by the Marchioness of Townsend. A very typey and handsome grey stallion! Your mare is double bred back to Silver Blue and is mostly pure Crabbet. A nice cross might be to stay within these lines. Stallions with Silver Fire, Indian Magic in them would do well. And, of course Skowronek, who is everywhere.
