Posted - 20 Aug 2012 : 2:06:11 PM Can anyone help me?? I have a PBA which I bought from a T Jackson in Hull, she told me the sire was an Arab which had since been exported. Mare is 7 now and I bought her 3 year ago. Does anyone know T Jackson or know of any Arab stallions in the hull area which may have been crossed with an Andalusian?? I bought her from the sales and T Jackson told me she had bred her, once home and broken in etc I tried to contact her to let her know how she was doing and took me weeks to get through to her and she said she would try find out name of sire, next time I saw her at sales she said she had bought her as a youngster and couldn't remember sire, I realise it doesn't look very promising but if anyone can help me or point me in another direction? |

Posted - 07 Sep 2012 : 3:29:49 PM Padan Shah (Kerim Shah x Pepita Bint Procyon) was bred by Dame Josephine Anderson who owns Malthouse Arabians in Devon. The AHS will not disclose any information as regards ownership. Whether she sold him on or not I have no idea |

Posted - 07 Sep 2012 : 2:57:18 PM the grange arabian stud no longer exists, there is another one with same name in same area but have been in contact and its def not that one Mrs Trimingham is an AHS governor on the AHS website but no contact details - does anyone know if the AHS would disclose who his owner was at a particular time? |

Posted - 01 Sep 2012 : 08:46:55 AM Padan Shah is out of Pepita bint Procyon. She was owned by Mrs Trimingham at The Grange Arabian Stud in Lincolnshire. I don't know whether the stud is still there but its worth a look into? I think Mrs Trimingham is an Arab Horse Society governor. |

Posted - 31 Aug 2012 : 12:00:58 PM I spoke to Bruces other half as he couldn't remember that far back!! Her mum was an Andalusian mare but they cant remember what she was called - they only remember her cos they sent her away for breaking and she was sent back as she was in foal (with my mare) and the filly she had was sold at york (where I bought her) but it sounded like they bought the 4yo Andalusian mare and it was already in foal to him which makes me think they got them at the same time from the same place?? She said Padan had originally come from a stud in surrey. |

Posted - 30 Aug 2012 : 3:49:02 PM Hmm. My mare is by Padan Shah and her breeder is Elaine Corrigan who was Bruce Machin's partner. I'm guessing she had Padan in 2004. I last spoke to Elaine a few years ago and she was living in Spain but was moving back to the UK. Who is your mare's dam? She had taken Padan Shah to Spain and sold him over there. |

Posted - 20 Aug 2012 : 10:36:57 PM I might be totally wrong but Bruce Machin has bred arabs and andalucians and lives in Hull. My mares sire belonged to him and he is now in Spain. The stallion is called Padan Shah. |
