Posted - 11 Jun 2012 : 10:13:47 PM My friend's mother is trying to find some history on a horse she sold in ~1953/4 to a lady called Barbara, who lived in the middle of the Forest of Dean & bred Arabs & Anglo Arabs. Freya was a chesnut mare, dob 1951 by Desert Song (AA) out of Heather. Desert Song was a "travelling" stallion, used after the war to improve the stock. If anyone knows who Barbara might be, where she lived, if she is still about or anything about her I'd be really grateful. My friend's mum would really like to know what happened to Freya & whether she had any offspring. I've looked on all breeds without much success.

Posted - 18 Jul 2012 : 9:28:37 PM Have you got any more info on Heather and Freya? I can not find them in AA Stud Book Vol V which covers that period. Desert Song is in there.
