Posted - 05 Dec 2010 : 10:01:59 PM Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me find out more about my gorgeous boy. His passport has no information about breeding in it, though I know he spent a lot of his life in Cornwall, especially around Penzance, and is apparently Arab x Connemara.
The name in his passport is 'Taos' and he is a 1996 14.2 grey, with a distinctive three whorls on his forehead, under his forelock. I have been told that he was a BSJA jumping pony at one point, but don't know how true this is. His physio is into Arabs and has suggested that Taos could be something to do with a stud name and that he may have Polish/Crabbet bloodlines.
If anybody recognises him or knows anything about him I would love to hear from you - I know virtually nothing about his life! Or even if you think you could guess at his breeding, I'm prepared to clutch at straws :)
Hopefully these photos will work... thanks in advance :)

Posted - 19 Feb 2011 : 9:12:03 PM I think Duchess College would be Duchy College- but that's all the help I can be I'm afraid.

Posted - 19 Feb 2011 : 12:13:26 AM There is no horse called 'Taos' with a BSJA record, but if he jumped on a ticket or this is not his 'real' name (he would have been doing this pre-passports) he wouldn't show up.
I am told he was bred in Cornwall, near Hayle - what is Duchess College? I don't mind grasping at straws, however short

Someone on another forum has suggested that a faint possibility could be to look at the Return of Mares book for 1996 and look at grey colt foals in Cornwall... does anyone know where I could get a copy of this? I don't mind paying for it if someone has one they would like to sell :)
