Does anybody know of a Premier gelding doing endurance at the moment?

No, Jan not Grenlandia and not bred by the Maxwells. She is unknown and unshown (so far) called Hanier and bred by the lady who bred David Yeoman's Haszar our BNC now going to WEG - in fact her mum is full sister to Haszar so have high hopes. Am going to Badmington on Sunday but Gower is too far sadly. But will keep a look out next year.

Dear Jammy,

I'm Cotswold group too although I live down in Wiltshire. Is your mare the lovely Grenlandia?
I'm hoping to get Elliott to the Gower Ride in a couple of weeks, riding on the beach should be fun!Just hoping the weather stays good!

Thanks for the replies; my little mare (about 14.1) is a mini premier to look at and has his same wonderful trot when she is showing off. She's also seven and just left her life of indolence with her devoted breeder and come to me. So until six weeks ago had never left the confines of her yard and had been ridden only in their sand arena but she was out on our village roads immediately and hacked out. Didn't put a foot wrong. Her only fear has been loading and she just about trusts us enough to do that now too. I'm really excited about her endurance career and hope she will be like Elliott - she also has a buck in her when excited!
What region are you Jan? I'm Cotswold, would be really interested to see your boy - are you going to any more rides this year?

Hi,

I have a Premier gelding out of a lovely Polish mare El-Era (Ernal - El-Eta) - his registered name is Eldoret but he is known as Elliott as that was what his breeder Kina Murray calls him and it suits.
He started his endurance career as a 7 yo and completed 10 novice rides, finishing 13th in the National Novice table - his heart rates weren't brilliant so gradings not too good. The next year he went Open and did 10 rides again, mostly 65km and finished 2nd in the Royal Lord Trophy - the National award for horses competing in Open classes up to 65km. This year he has gone advanced, completing two 80km rides (both grade 2) and gaining a grade 1 in the Berks Downs 2 day 130km ride in June.
He has a ground covering trot and a lovely comfortable canter. He is just the easiest horse in the world, very affectionate and loving, forward going, not at all spooky although he enjoys a little buck when he is excited.
If your girl is anything like Elliott you will have the most wonderful partner for endurance!

A friend has a young Premier gelding, she has done a bot of everything with him up to now. What is it you need to know?
