Posted - 24 Dec 2009 : 8:28:12 PM Just for the sake of correctness.... Manar is 50% Spanish through his sire Ghadames - his dam looks to be high Crabbet at least 50 % through Haroun ?? Old English, haven't looked back through her pedigree 8-) |

Posted - 24 Dec 2009 : 12:47:10 AM Here's the link to his pedigree on All Breeds: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/manavah The Crabbet Organisation can do a Crabbet Certificate for you. Looking at his pedigree he is very high Crabbet % I would hazzard a guess he's over 75%, Pat should be able to give you a more accurate %.
and another link to explain the definition of Crabbet : http://www.mistyridge-arabians.com/definition_100%25_crabbet.htm
Do you have his Arab Horse Society Registration document? Website for The Arab Horse Society is http://www.arabhorsesociety.com/index.php?section=55 give them a call and they will keep you right regarding transfer of ownership and standing a stallion at stud.
DNA is basically genetic fingerprinting which is used to prove who he is by / out of and who he has sired. All horses registered with AHS need to be DNA tested to be eligible for registration.
Hope this helps 8-)
