How to obtain the sleek polished look of the Arabs face , do you use something to keep hair from becoming to hairy , I get they are oiled up ,but how to get that almost skin like look . |

My Crabbet boy used to have the bald, leathery look around the eyes in summer, but his coat was very fine.
I now have two Polish boys and they are very hairy, one has a beard any gypsy cob would be proud of!  Never had such hairy arabs before! |

I also see it on older horses. My current loan is 16 years and she is almost bare around her eyes and muzzle, as was a previous one who was 24. Eba, my girl, definitely has hair where they are bare!

Einstein also looks clipped his facial hair is so fine, not even a hint of beard! |

Roger's coat is so fine that his face is sleek/bald around the eyes in the summer anyway - no clipping needed but the odd beard hair plucked!
