Hi just posting on here as I am trying to find the above to purchase/hire/borrow - unfortunately I have had my lovely mears black cutaway jacket completely ruined at the drycleaners and I am now desperately trying to find something that isn't £300 + ! to replace it.
I have seen the 'dressage tails' online but think that's a bit steep..anyone know where you can buy these? they where v popular at one point but now seem to have disappeared off the shelf!

I'm fine thanks, and both my boys are good - still hacking Roger 3-4 times a week and I've backed Chips and he's going sweetly (just hacking but he'll go first or last - or solo). Just started cantering him too!

Hi Caryn, thought I would start posting back on AL again as its been awhile - Ramak is great thank you - we pretty much had 2 seasons out of doing anything as he did a check ligament, and then came back into work after 8 months of rehab..was in work 4 - 5 months then managed to get a enlarged suspensory!  so.. as you can imagine its been lots of TLC and patience!
I was over the moon to be at The convention, as I wasn't sure if we would be back to fitness but Ramak pulled it out of the bag bless him and I LOVED doing that display with Silvern moonlight I really enjoyed the whole weekend!
glad you enjoyed the convention xx I have decided to take him to BACS & BAHPAC hoping that we can have a good weekend as it may be our last one - trying to ease off the showing with him now to give him a rest although we are going to do some veteran classes next yr and try and do Olympia!!
I will have my new youngster to do the AHS shows now so ramak can have time out - how are you? x |

Hello - how's the lovely Ramak Gold? I was mesmerised by your "white horses" pairs dressage at Thr Crabbet Parade - so good to see him back after injury.

Yes thanks sazzlepants, getting there slowly and had some good driving classes with Hairy Cob. Just thought - if the dry cleaners ruined your jacket they should pay for a replacement as they must have insurance to cover it. If they won't cooperate try hitting them with Trading Standards. I know this won't help you actually find a jacket but might open up more possibilities price-wise. Best of luck and look forward to seeing pics! x |

My navy cutaway was a Caldene side-saddle jacket - might be worth seeing if they still do them, or if you could find one second-hand. I know the side-saddle association have contacts for second-hand clothing, or if you know anyone who does side-saddle maybe they could lend you one - this is what I did before I bought my own.
