Posted - 18 Sep 2011 : 5:18:36 PM Hello In all our stables we have old metal water drinkers like these:
I have stopped them dripping by polishing the metal sealing face and the rubber insert. The problem now is the parts are so worn out I can't repair them anymore. Does anyone know where I can get these little rubbery inserts and the brass seats from?
Many thanks Pam |

Posted - 18 Sep 2011 : 5:42:27 PM If you try a farming supplies somewhere near you? The trouble is that they changed the design of these a couple of years ago and the new ones are RUBBISH, so whatever you do don't buy them!!! The other alternative is to go to a plumbing supplier and buy a new float and insert that is near enough the right size, that will work to. Apparantley they are not expensive, well thats what my plumber said lol! |
