Posted - 08 Jun 2011 : 9:33:39 PM Had vet tonight for teeth and health check asked him to look at Baz fronts as have developed a few cracks 2 weeks after trim, vet said farrier should round off a bit more next time and suggested giving a supplement OMG which one???? he also said ok to Keratex, this time last year cracks would come about 4-5wks after a trim, Baz has a good hard sole and i really want to keep him barefoot, so any help tips etc appreciated. Posted - 09 Jun 2011 : 2:56:37 PM My vet and farrier recommended Farriers Formula to help Red's feet which weren't in very good nick after his lami and they seem to be growing out nicely. Prior to that I used Lo-cal for all 3 of them and that is also supposed to help hoof quality. Just read that through - that's 3 horses, not 3 feet! |
