Just wondering if anyone knows the safest type of hedging to put up round a new fence we have. Don't want anything that would hurt a horse if it ate it. Put on here as not really horsey. More gardening. No conifers please!! |

Also you can get a grant for 50% to plant a hedge. Best time of the year is in December. |

Many thanks for ideas. We may well start at local garden centre. Not sure fence is long enough for the free planting idea. |

Don't know your circumstance however YO had free planting of safe hedging that will also support wildlife. Volunteers came and did planting, they were happy to do it. Maybe worth looking into it in your area.

Our local nursery have a hedging pack labelled equestrian use it has ..
