What would everybody like for christmas this year? I would love a chestnut or bay Arab stallion in my stocking but theres no chance of that sadly so i have dropped some hints for some new Sloggi knickers in black, lilac and purple and a wasgij jigsaw as i love doing them :)

Yes a sad day and you did right to ask for the vet you wanted as it makes all the difference at sad or crisis times and good practices are happy to oblige. Wishing good health to your sheep ladies bless em.
For Christmas... I wish all Aliners a wonderful time

What a wonderful life your Mammy Nice had, what a considerate vet and I'm sure they come with a box of tissues for you because they know you so well.

How lovely a puppy to look forward to of course we will expect loads of photos. Sad day today for me as i had to have my favourite sheep Mammy Nice PTS, i knew it was coming as shes old but still not nice, my sheep are pets here till the day they die . Poor vets i asked for female only to come out as my old ladies are just used to me looking after them and had to put up with me blubbering away, they know me well so they are fantastic and what was nice is she said any animals that comes to live here is very lucky. I am not going to replace my old sheep as they leave us as its too upsetting when we have to say goodbye, only 5 ladies left now but all fit and well.

Oooops...but I would complain. But different strokes for different folks!
FireLight Posted - 20 Dec 2014 : 11:31:55 AM
I am very envious Ari. I love Poodley type doggies they are so cute. I would love a dog but OH won't let me have one. I can have as many cats and even another arabian but no dog. I love it when everyone relates their doggy stories and pics on AL. I can't complain too much though, OH pays all the horse bills and never complains about it or the time I spend at the stables.

Sally that would be my dream your pond is lovely; we do have a huge pond almost a lake where I keep Ari so I get to enjoy wild ducks, heron and oyster catchers.
My life changing late Christmas present to myself is a pup who will be ready to join my animal family 10 Jan. Dolly will be my first pup in 13yrs so I am both exited and terrified as so much has changed in training and feeding but hoping common sense will see me through lol.
She is a Cockapoo and I know all the designer dog negatives, but she is chosen because her spaniel mum has a fabulous temperament, belongs to a girl I know, dad is health checked and I just love poodle crosses like my wonderful Dexter.

Ari i was thinking about you today , i was watching my ducks playing in the stream and smiling to myself they were ducking and diving with not a care in the world, hope you get your ducks and pond one day soon
Ari Posted - 19 Dec 2014 : 6:24:56 PM

What I used to refer to as running shorts when my mother was wearing them and I was still in snazzy little bikinis! Those were the days! Couldn't stand a thong - if I want to floss my arse I won't be taking all day over it!
sab2 Posted - 19 Dec 2014 : 10:25:00 AM
Goldenmane a girl has to be comfortable i could never get away with wearing thongs
Callisto yes i love these little guys as well
Callisto Posted - 18 Dec 2014 : 9:45:37 PM
Hurrah! We have Christmas smilies

Apologies - got a bit over excited!
Goldenmane Posted - 18 Dec 2014 : 6:29:10 PM
So many knickers, I'd rather have those than a thong!
You'll be fine now Pinkyboots, you must be past the worst!
Happy about Milly, Gerri, who'd have horses?
Oh dear, I've just noticed we have Christmas smilies!
sab2 Posted - 18 Dec 2014 : 5:36:11 PM
Pinkyboots fingers crossed your fit nad well for christmas
My OH ordered the knickers and got a reply to say that they didn,t have any packs of 3 only packs of 6 available so he ordered a pack of six in the lilac shades. When they arrived they are two packs of 3 , now work that one out Of course they will be a surprise on christmas day when i unwrap them
Goldenmane Posted - 18 Dec 2014 : 11:43:51 AM
I'd like to be able to renew my field lease for at least 5 years instead of yearly! Always a worry at the end of the year.
pinkvboots Posted - 18 Dec 2014 : 12:16:09 AM
To not be ill I am always ill at christmas I now worry about it which probably makes it worse and makes me ill, although I have had some bug and only started feeling better yesterday so maybe thats me done for this year now
Gerri Posted - 10 Dec 2014 : 6:13:49 PM
The best Christmas present was the vet telling me milly doing really well and that's all I wanted ...

.so I am happy now
sab2 Posted - 10 Dec 2014 : 4:24:45 PM
I am going to have to google that Calliato
Callisto Posted - 09 Dec 2014 : 6:44:40 PM
My most excellent Christmas present arrived a couple of days ago - managed to persuade my husband to buy me an ezee corral - so looking forward to almost instant trouble free corral building/dismantling when Lily and I travel to rides next year
glo Posted - 09 Dec 2014 : 11:01:56 AM
Ari, be careful what you wish for!

I am not bothered, but I would like snow for Christmas day, we have a hill in our field that good for sledging.
sab2 Posted - 08 Dec 2014 : 9:19:11 PM
So i am not going potty after all then Ari
Ari Posted - 08 Dec 2014 : 7:45:31 PM
Yes heat holders are great, they were called Heat Savers when they first came out.
For Christmas I would like 10 acres, stables, barn, duck pond and a 2 bed cottage for me dogs and cats with access to Mooorland riding. A girl can dream lol
Realistic wishes are kindle credits as I love reading, cozy pj's for relaxing in after cold days at the farm, socks (can't have enough) and to be honest I don't want for for much. I feel I have had my Christmas present early in that my little old dog is doing great despite a few health issues.

Vik1 Posted - 08 Dec 2014 : 5:58:07 PM
oooh yes Heat Holders are fab! I have a pair I use in the house once the comfy clothes are on for the night.
sab2 Posted - 08 Dec 2014 : 4:31:46 PM
Rosie that because they are called Heat Holders, sorry i got the name wrong you can get them in different lengths as well, 2.3 tog so nice and thick, mind they sometimes moult in the washer you will know what i mean by this if you buy some
rosie Posted - 08 Dec 2014 : 2:20:08 PM
