Posted - 25 Sep 2014 : 8:23:27 PM I was so pleased when I found out that I was eligible for this in 2013. We have struggled financially and it just helped to keep the wolf from the door. BUT I have recently been told I have to pay it all back because I am no longer entitled and they have over paid me. What do they think I have been doing with the money, putting it in a savings account to pay them back!!!
Anyone else had this. Apparently it is very common.

Posted - 26 Sep 2014 : 4:01:56 PM I have managed to talk to the right person today after a wait of 45 mins. I am reassured that I am still entitled, they are trying to reinstate me but the system won't let them. So I still have to start payments and these will be refunded when they finally sort it out. But in the mean time I feel very vulnerable financially. |

Posted - 25 Sep 2014 : 9:35:39 PM One of my friends had this and it was a nightmare..you are required to repay it, if its not your fault the good news is that they may agree a no interest repayment plan with you which they did with my friend because a rule had changed and she'd not been notified. Now when anything changes she rings and insists they log her query and updates so that in future it is still not her fault! |
